Lakhoun cave

Many people were killed in Sampov mountain caves in Battambang during Khmer Rouge regime.

According to the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam), the number of victims reached 15,700 people. In Kirirom pagoda, there were three main caves that they took people to kill - Teng Khloun cave, Lakhoun cave and Kang Keb cave.

First January Dam and its reservoir are one of the main sources of water for the farmers in Baray and Santuk district, Kampong Thom province. Not only that, they have become a popular attraction for the surrounding people.

The history of the dam began with bloodshed & suffering under the Democratic Kampuchea regime. During the construction period of six months, according to the Documentation Center of Cambodia(DC-Cam) - tens of thousands of Cambodians were killed.
